Conventional environmental protection on the global scale is inefficient. Though WWF/Germany has about 300.000 members in Germany alone, they act with a budget of about €30mio in 2006. This budget contains mostly of donations from companies or citizens. With this budget WWF

 

•    Is influencing the public towards a higher awareness of today’s and future problems to the world and therefore mankind,

•    strengthening the concept of sustainability in the public mind,

•    doing political lobbying.
